曲终茶未凉
[qŭ zhōng chá wèi liáng]
The literal meaning is that 'The music has ended, but the tea is not cold yet'. In the ancient times of China, after a grand banquet or gathering filled with entertainment and enjoyment (music being part of it), people usually drink tea. Even though one thing has come to an end, another continues - there's still warmth (hope, memory) in the lingering tea. Metaphorically, this can express a state where a certain phase of affairs ends, but its related impacts and memories remain intact.
