情断伊人妆
[qíng duàn yī rén zhuāng]
Literally, “love ends, breaking the appearance of the beloved”. It poetically implies an end to a beautiful romantic relationship; where even though the outer image remains lovely (“the makeup on the beloved one”), internal ties have been severed - expressing the bitterness of love ending but appearances still maintained.
