River lanterns floating away. In China, it's a traditional ritual to float lanterns on the river at night. Releasing a river lamp represents wishing for health, sending wishes or blessings, or letting sad memories flow downstream. By using this, it hints that someone releases hopes, dreams or laments into the flowing water, symbolizing peace found within release of burdens.
