深情不寿万寿无疆
[shēn qíng bù shòu wàn shòu wú jiāng]
Conveys a wish mixed with sorrow: though boundless longevity may come without depth and warmth of feelings (people living longer might not maintain genuine affection), true emotional intensity often cannot last forever, leading to less time to live but more deeply lived years. Expresses lamentation over short-lived but meaningful life compared to endless eternity devoid of passion. In a sense, 'long-lasting life lacks vitality; limited years brimful with passion.' It combines two idioms to create poetic contrasts.
