These two expressions 'indulging love/undervalued love' together may denote love with both deep emotional intensity and self-deprecating humility involved simultaneously. One kind of interpretation is excessive love while the other hints that sometimes in relationships when love gets imbalanced due to favoritism, one party might feel devalued. Thus they would call the former one addiction out of doting while the later calls the act pathetic.
