悟空等唐僧五百年
[wù kōng dĕng táng sēng wŭ băi nián]
'Wukong waits for Tang僧(monk) five hundred years.' Wukong is a character from the classical novel 'Journey to the West'. He is known for his rebellious nature and martial arts ability but was finally tamed by Monk Tang Sanzang for whom he waited for five hundred years according to mythology, signifying patience, devotion and growth into a better self
