'July Meteor' is a poetic way of describing a celestial phenomenon observed in mid-summer (not in July) when, traditionally, people see a cluster of meteors falling at the end of the heat period, indicating summer is coming to an end and the weather will cool down. The literal meaning comes from the early Chinese poem 'The Fire of July'.
