风华是一指流沙苍老是一段年华
[fēng huá shì yī zhĭ liú shā cāng lăo shì yī duàn nián huá]
Translated literally as 'the splendor (or charm) is fleeting sand flowing beneath a finger, aging is but an episode in a life', this line philosophically contemplates the contrast between youth/beauty being ephemeral as running sand and age being a whole segment of time experienced.
