渡佛不渡我
[dù fó bù dù wŏ]
Literally translated, '渡佛不渡我' means 'ferrying Buddha across but not ferrying myself.' It has a philosophical undertone. In Buddhism, '度'(pronounced as du, means ferry or save, liberate) refers to freeing oneself from the cycle of rebirth and achieving enlightenment, so the owner of this nickname perhaps believes they haven't attained self-enlightenment, while others have or can reach it easily
